New Call reporting for Microsoft Teams Phone

Your call history shouldn’t have an expiry date.

Microsoft keeps your call records for 30 days. Recall keeps them for three years. See what happened to every call, catch the missed calls nobody returned, and send every customer a report they’ll actually read.

The 30-day cliff

Thirty days is a window, not a record.

After 30 days Microsoft deletes Teams call records and call quality data, and PSTN usage can only be pulled 90 days at a time. When a customer asks about last quarter, there’s nothing left to check.

Look back years, not weeks

Every record Recall collects is kept for three years as standard, so last quarter and last year stay searchable.

Settle disputes with facts

“Nobody rang me back” becomes a quick lookup with the time, the person and the callback.

Recall keeps what it has collected. It can’t bring back records Microsoft deleted before you signed up, so the sooner it starts, the more history you keep.
What you get

Less digging. More knowing.

Teams Recall turns raw call logs into answers your service desk and your customers can act on.

Outcomes, not just durations

The admin centre tells you a call lasted 0:00. Recall tells you what happened next. Each call gets an outcome and the reason for it, so you can see straight away which callers are still waiting to hear back.

History that sticks around

Call records, call quality and PSTN logs are kept for three years as standard, not Microsoft’s 30 days.

Every customer, one sign-in

Switch between customers from a dropdown instead of signing in to each tenant’s admin centre.

Reports that turn up on their own

Every customer gets a weekly report schedule automatically. Add who should receive it and a colour-coded report with the call log as a CSV arrives every Monday at 08:00 UK time.

Weekly, fortnightly or monthly

Call quality that lasts

Jitter, packet loss and round-trip time are kept, ready for when a “the line was awful” ticket comes back a month later.

Fits your phone setup

Works with Calling Plans, Operator Connect and Direct Routing.

The right people see the right customers

Single sign-on, with Viewer, Manager and Admin roles set per customer.

Runs itself

Syncs every 15 minutes and catches late-arriving records. You won’t need to touch it.

Getting started

From one link to your first report.

There are no passwords to hand over and no agents to install. The customer approves access themselves and can take it back whenever they like.

Send the consent link

Your customer’s Microsoft 365 admin opens one link, reviews the read-only permissions and approves them.

Recall starts syncing

Calls are pulled in every 15 minutes, then sorted by customer, user and outcome. The last 90 days of PSTN usage is backfilled straight away.

Reports land in the inbox

Add the recipients and a colour-coded summary with a CSV arrives on whatever schedule you choose.

Side by side

Keep the admin centre. Recall fills the gaps.

Keep running Teams in the admin centre. Use Recall when you need a longer memory and reports people can read.

Microsoft retention limits as documented for Microsoft Graph call records and PSTN reports. Recall can’t recover records deleted before it started collecting.

Built for MSPs

Be the provider who knows what happened.

When you look after Teams Phone for dozens of customers, checking each tenant by hand doesn’t scale. Recall gives your service desk one place to look, and gives customers a weekly reminder of the service behind their phones.

  • Every connected customer behind one sign-in.
  • The same clear report for every customer, every week.
  • Years of call history that only you hold, which makes you hard to replace.
  • Onboard a new customer in minutes with one link.
Security

The customer stays in control.

Recall uses Microsoft’s own admin-consent flow and asks for the minimum it needs to report on calls.

Read-only

Recall reads call data. It can’t change Teams settings, users or policies.

CallRecords.Read.AllUser.Read.AllOrganization.Read.All

No shared passwords

Access is granted through Microsoft consent, so nobody ever handles a customer admin password.

Revoke any time

Remove Recall from Enterprise Applications in Entra and syncing stops on the next run.

FAQ

Fair questions.

Can’t find your answer here? Email [email protected] and a real person will reply.

Do you need our Microsoft 365 admin password?

No. Your admin approves read-only access through Microsoft’s consent screen. No password is shared with us or your MSP, and access can be revoked in Entra at any time.

What happens to data older than 30 days?

Microsoft deletes call records and quality data after 30 days, and PSTN usage can only be pulled 90 days at a time. Recall keeps everything it collects for three years as standard, and longer on request. It can’t restore anything that was deleted before it started collecting.

Does it work with Direct Routing?

Yes. Recall works with Calling Plans, Operator Connect and Direct Routing.

How long does setup take?

A few minutes per customer: send the link, the admin approves it, and syncing starts. We’ll help you set up your first customer.

How up to date is the data?

Recall syncs every 15 minutes. Microsoft can take up to a couple of hours to publish a call record, and Recall rechecks recent calls so late ones still get picked up.

When do reports arrive, and who gets them?

Every customer gets a weekly schedule automatically: Monday at 08:00 UK time, covering the previous week. Add the recipients and it starts sending. You can switch to fortnightly or monthly.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Email [email protected] and we’ll talk you through offboarding. You won’t have to fight your way through a maze of menus.
